Coin Master Raids and Attacks — How to Maximise Coins, Protect Your Village, and Use Pets Strategically
Every spin on the Coin Master slot machine can land on a raid or attack symbol. Raids let you dig into another player's coin stash. Attacks let you damage their buildings. Both are essential for progression — raids fund your village upgrades, and attacks earn stars and event points. But most Indian players don't know how to optimise these mechanics. The difference between a casual player and a top player often comes down to how they handle raids and attacks. This guide covers the mechanics, pet synergies, and event timing that turn every spin into maximum value. Full spin links for today: Free Spins page.
How Raids Work
When the slot machine lands on three raid symbols (the pig with the shovel), you get to raid another player. The game shows you their village and presents several dig spots — holes you can choose to dig in. Each hole either contains coins or is empty. The number of pockets available depends on your bet level (higher bet = more pockets to choose from, but only some contain coins).
The coins you find come from the raided player's coin stash — but you don't take all their coins. The game calculates a percentage of their held coins, distributes it across the pockets, and lets you pick. The richer the player you raid, the more coins are in each pocket.
Foxy — The Raid Multiplier Pet
Foxy is the most valuable pet for coin accumulation. When Foxy is active, you get an extra dig during every raid. Instead of choosing from the standard pockets, you get one additional pick — effectively increasing your raid earnings by 33–50% per raid. At high village levels where each raid can yield millions of coins, Foxy's extra pocket adds up enormously over a session.
Foxy needs to be fed every 4 hours to stay active. Set alarms. An inactive Foxy during a Raid Madness event is one of the most expensive mistakes you can make in Coin Master.
How Attacks Work
Three hammer symbols on the slot machine trigger an attack. You're shown the target player's village and choose which building to attack. A successful attack damages the building (reducing its level by one) and earns you coins and stars. Stars contribute to your player level, which unlocks higher bet multipliers.
You can choose your attack target: the game offers a random player, but you can also spin to find a specific target — a friend, a revenge target, or a high-value player. The "Revenge" feature lets you attack someone who previously attacked you, which many players find satisfying.
Tiger — The Attack Booster
Tiger increases the coin reward from attacks. When active, every successful attack yields more coins than the base amount. Tiger is less impactful than Foxy for most players because raid earnings typically exceed attack earnings — but during Attack Madness events, Tiger becomes essential because every attack counts towards event points, and the coin boost compounds.
Rhino — The Defensive Pet
Rhino blocks incoming attacks. When an opponent attacks your village, Rhino has a chance to deflect the damage entirely — saving your building and your coins. Rhino is the defensive counterpart to Tiger and Foxy's offensive utility. Activate Rhino when you're sitting on a large coin balance and about to log off — it's your insurance against overnight attacks.
Event Timing — When Raids and Attacks Are Worth 2–3× More
Moon Active runs weekly events that multiply the value of specific actions:
| Event | Boosted Action | Multiplier | Best Pet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raid Madness | Raids | 2–3× event points per raid | Foxy (extra pocket) |
| Attack Madness | Attacks | 2–3× event points per attack | Tiger (coin boost) |
| Viking Quest | All spins | Points per spin | Any active pet |
| Balloon Frenzy | Popping balloons | Bonus rewards | Varies |
The strategy: stockpile 200–400 spins before a Raid or Attack Madness event. When the event starts, activate the appropriate pet (Foxy for raids, Tiger for attacks), set your bet to the highest level you're comfortable with, and burn through your spins. The event multiplier turns each spin into 2–3× the normal value, making this the single most efficient time to spend spins. Full event schedule on the Events page.
Raid and Attack Strategy for Indian Players
Bet level matters — a lot
The slot machine bet level (×1 to ×10 and beyond) multiplies everything: coin rewards from raids, coin rewards from attacks, and spin cost. Higher bet = more coins per action, but also faster spin depletion. The sweet spot for most Indian players: use ×1 to ×3 during normal play, and ×5 to ×10 during events when the multiplier stacks on top.
Revenge raids are often richer
When someone raids you, they typically have a large coin balance (otherwise the game wouldn't have matched you). Hitting "Revenge" lets you raid them back — and since they likely still have coins, the revenge raid often yields more than a random raid target.
Protect coins before logging off
If you have a large coin balance and no shields, spend your coins on village upgrades before closing the app. Unprotected coins are raided by other players while you're offline. A billion coins sitting in your account overnight is an invitation for attackers. Build, or buy chests, or just upgrade — never leave large sums unprotected.
